For over 20 years, Ted Baker has handled a wide array of complex and sensitive legal matters. Ted has primarily focused on defending families being investigated by the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP), formerly known as DYFS. He has also handled matters regarding adoptions, kinship legal guardianships, criminal defense, and personal injury.
Before opening his law practice, Ted served as Deputy Attorney General representing DCPP. He represented the State in thousands of cases. During that time, he gained valuable experience in matters of child abuse and neglect, termination of parental rights, grandparents, rights, and administrative issues. He brings this insider knowledge and understanding of how DCPP operates when defending his clients.
In addition to his work defending New Jersey families, Ted has also successfully represented clients facing indictable and nonindictable criminal violations. From simple traffic violations and disorderly conduct to assault and homicide charges, Ted has fought for the rights of his clients for over 20 years.
